ABOUT US
Anchor Property was set up in 2016 as a reaction to the growing confusion around yacht crew mortgages and property investment. Many crew have experienced overly expensive and complicated purchases that left them disillusioned and with property that didn’t serve their needs. Worse still, a lot of crew have been put off entirely.
The team at Anchor Property understand that yacht crew have extremely high standards when it comes to service. Crew are often far too busy working long back to back seasons to deal with the arduous task of sourcing property and finding mortgages for their own investments. We have developed a service that saves crew time, money and the long term headaches associated with poor quality investment property. In the UK especially, recent changes to the law have made buying and letting property much more difficult. We are able to offer our knowledge and experience to make sure you make sound investment decisions.
MEET THE TEAM
Micheal Green has an MSc (Hons) in Real Estate from Nottingham University. He currently works for David Brown Commercial, one of the Midlands most established surveyancing firms along side his work with Anchor Property. Mike brings a deep knowledge of property investment with experience in residential and commercial property. Mike has a large network of ancillary professionals, which means he has access to the answers to almost any question you can think of regarding property.
Freddie Rennison was Anchor Properties first ever client. Freddie met Jack whilst working together as deck crew on M/Y Lady S. After Jack had sourced and co-ordinated Fred’s first investment property he remained on Lady S until he came back to the UK to start property renovation full time. He has now renovated 4 houses and is about to purchase his third buy to let in an Anchor Property partnered development. Fred has an excellent practical knowledge of property and an ever growing knowledge of investment. He is constantly sourcing and viewing new opportunities for clients. His 5 years in the yachting industry also gives him a priceless knowledge of the practicalities of working as crew.

Property is a long term investment, but that doesn’t mean it shouldn’t work for you from day one. When Fred came to Anchor Property to find an apartment we viewed five potentials before we came to a decision. We were able to negotiate him a £3,500 discount which easily covered our fee and left him with over £2,000 in savings, not to mention the time and stress avoided. We arranged him a mortgage through our specialist broker and liaised with the solicitors and estate agents on his behalf. Less than two years on and that property is now worth at least £15,000 more than he paid for it, and each month he pockets £200 for doing nothing.
